Mat-1.3656 Numeerisen analyysin ja laskennallisen tieteen seminaari
Syksy 2006

Opettajat: prof. Timo Eirola ja prof. Rolf Stenberg

Prof Joachim Schöberl (formerly Linz, now RWTH Aachen) and his research group is visiting the Institute of Mathematics, TKK for the whole of September.

In connection with his stay he will deliver a short course on FE methods for Maxwell's equations. It will be given on the time reserved for the seminar on Computational Science and Technology. Lectures are on Mondays 14.15 - 16.00 in room U356:

For those interested the first three lectures combined with 2-3 exercises supervised by Dr. Sabine Zaglmayer will together form a minicourse. For the minicourse two credit units will be given. The lecture notes for the course are here. Exercises will be held in the computer classroom Y338c (Jörö) at 12.15 - 14.00 .

First meeting is 11.9. at 14.15 in lecture room U356.

Numerical presence estimator:

For those who wish to obtain the credits for the course Mat-1.3656 Numeerisen analyysin ja laskennallisen tieteen seminaari (Mat-1.3656 Seminar on Numerical Analysis and Computational Science) decent presence on the lectures is required. For the credits of the special course held by Prof Joachim Schöberl the participation for the first three lectures and computer exercises is required. The special course will be registered under the title Mat-5.100 Yksilöllinen opintojakso ( Mat-5.100 Individual Studies ). The attendance for occasions can be seen from here.
