schemes for von-Mises plasticity based on exponential maps
ABSTRACT:
I will adress the problem of solving the constitutive law for
associative von-
Mises plasticity with linear isotropic and kinematic hardening.
After a brief introduction to the model and to which is perhaps the
most
classical algorithm used for its approximation, I will derive a
different
model formulation which allows to solve the problem using exponential
maps.
Various exponential methods are shown and a comparison between them
(and the
classical method above) is performed. This comparison is based on the
analysis
of some algorithmical properties and on numerical tests.
