Mass Conserving Finite Element Methods for the Brinkman Problem
In soil mechanics the Brinkman model describes the flow in a porous
medium taking into account the viscous effects. The resulting model is a
parameter-dependent combination of the classical Darcy and Stokes flow
models.
We will consider mass conserving finite element methods for the Brinkman problem, along with some numerical examples.
