Introduction

This seminar provides a forum for young researchers working in stochastics to speak about their research. The three points that determine the triangle are St. Petersburg, Espoo, and Stockholm. We accept participants outside of this triangle, too. In addition to the talks given by young researchers there will be two tutorials by the local organizers:

Luis Alvarez (Turku School of Economics): Optimal stopping
Tommi Sottinen (University of Vaasa): Non-semimartingales in finance

These tutorials serve also as an introduction to the following events:

Non-Semimartingale Techniques in Mathematical Finance (Helsinki University of Technology, 26-28 May 2009)
Optimal Stopping with Applications Symposium (Åbo Akademi University, 23-26 June 2009)
