Meshfree analysis with 3D surface model
An aproach for solving partial differential equations using meshfree
method will be presented. In this approach, the analysis is conducted
without mesh structure of the analysis domain. The computation mainly
consists of the following two steps.
1. Construction of 3D surface model
The shape of the problem domain is represented as an implicit function using a technique of computer graphics.
2. Meshfree analysis using radial basis functions
The analysis is conducted using a meshfree method based on radial point
interpolation method. The way to combine it with the surface model will
also be presented.
