During MRI: Current status
Ensimmäinen osa on kertausta viime keväältä ja
pidän sen kohtuu lyhyenä. Sen jälkeen ajattelin puhua
englanniksi vartissa esitelmän jonka pidän samalla viikolla
Firenzessä. Sitten voisin jatkaa hieman vapaamuotoisemmin
projektin nykytilasta ja lähitulevaisuuden asioista.
Tiivistelmä:
In the first part I describe modal analysis of acoustic
waves in the human vocal tract (VT) while the subject is pronouncing
[ö:]. The model we have used is the wave equation in three
dimensions, together with physically relevant boundary conditions.
We solved the resonance problem using the Finite Element Method.
In the second part I discuss recording arrangements for speech
during an MRI scan of the speakers vocal tract. The image and
sound data thus obtained will be used for construction and
validation of our numerical model for the vocal tract.
